Ian was called to the Bar in 1983, where he has specialised in areas of the law including Building and Construction disputes as Counsel, Arbitrator and Mediator.

Ian was an Acting Judge of the District Court of New South Wales and a former Member of the Consumer Trader and Tenancy Tribunal.

Ian has a wide array of qualifications including University of Sydney Dip.L, University of New South Wales B.Build and is a Fellow of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators Australia.
