
Stephen Scarlett OAM RFD
Stephen was called to the Bar in 2016.
He was admitted as a solicitor in 1971 until 1988 where he was appointed as a Magistrate in the Local Court of NSW. Stephen furthered his work as a Magistrate in the Children’s Court from 1995 – 2000 and thereafter he was appointed a Federal Magistrate of the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia. In 2013 he was appointed as a Judge of the Federal Circuit Court of Australia until 2016 (retired).
Stephen is highly accredited with qualifications including Bachelor of Arts – University of Sydney, Bachelor of Laws – University of Sydney, Master of Laws – University of Sydney, Diploma in Criminology – University of Sydney, Diploma in Social Science – University of New England.
In addition to his work as a Barrister, Stephen is accredited as a Mediator under the Australian National Mediation Accreditation Standards (NMAS) as well as an Arbitrator by the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM).
